Gold falls below $1300

FXStreet (Córdoba) - Gold fell below the $1300/oz mark during the American session after the latest upside attempt was capped by the $1305 an ounce area.

The yellow metal is under short-term pressure amid broad USD strength although from a wider view, it continues to waver between small gains and losses around $1300/oz taking a breather from the steep losses suffered Wednesday that lead the metal to a low of $1286/oz.

At time of writing, gold is trading at $1298 an ounce, recording a 0.31% loss on the day.

EUR/USD extends decline to daily lows

The Euro is extending its decline against the US Dollar and after losing 35 pips from 1.3865, the EUR/USD broke below 1.3850 and it is trading around 1.3825 daily lows.
