USD/CHF regains 0.8900

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The USD/CHF rose sharply and regained the 0.8900 mark during the European session as the greenback strengthened amid risk aversion.

The USD/CHF found support once again at the 0.8855 area at the beginning of the European session and recovered more than 50 pips to a high of 0.8914 in recent dealings. At time of writing, the USD/CHF is trading at the 0.8910 zone, 0.3% above its opening price.

USD/CHF technical perspective

"From a longer term perspective, the structure present since 0.9972 (24/07/2012) is seen as a large corrective phase which has potentially reached completion", says Swissquote Bank SA. "The support area defined by 0.8931 (24/02/2012 low) and 0.8833 favours a potential medium-term base formation. A key resistance stands at 0.9250".
