Wall Street lifted by investors spirits

Wall Street made it into the green today after a mixed day yesterday while US data improved with U.S. new home sales lifted the sprits of US investors ahead of the main event at the end of the week in the Jackson Hole and US GDP.

Today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up by 17 points, or 0.1%, to close at 18,547, with a good performance in Nike Inc up over 1.5% while the S&P 500 picked up 4 points, or 0.2%, at 2,186, once again at the top of its game with oil tracking higher on news that Iran could be involve din the negotiations towards an output freeze, while the Nasdaq Composite Index gaining 15 points, or 0.3%, at 5,260.
