USD/KRW Melemah ke 1.430 setelah Penurunan Suku Bunga 25 bp yang Diprakirakan oleh BoK

Gubernur Bank of Korea (BoK) Rhee Chang-yong menjelaskan alasan di balik keputusan pemotongan suku bunga dalam konferensi pers pasca pertemuan kebijakan pada hari Selasa.

Poin-Poin Lainnya

Keputusan suku bunga pada hari Selasa diambil secara bulat.

Suku bunga untuk program pinjaman khusus juga diturunkan.

Empat anggota dewan mengatakan suku bunga kebijakan saat ini dapat dipertahankan selama tiga bulan ke depan.

Dua anggota dewan mengatakan pemotongan suku bunga lebih lanjut mungkin terjadi dalam tiga bulan ke depan.

Konsensus pasar memperkirakan dua pemotongan suku bunga lagi tahun ini tidak terlalu berbeda dari pandangan BoK.

Volatilitas pasar Dolar-Won sedikit mereda.

Bank sentral Korea Selatan melanjutkan siklus pemotongan suku bunga dengan menurunkan suku bunga kebijakan sebesar 25 basis poin (bp) menjadi 2,75% setelah sebelumnya tidak berubah di 3% pada bulan Januari. BoK juga merevisi proyeksi pertumbuhan lebih rendah tahun ini menjadi 1,5% dari 1,9% sambil mempertahankan proyeksi inflasi di 1,9% untuk tahun ini dan tahun depan.
