NZD Sebagian Besar Tidak Terpengaruh oleh Komentar RBNZ – BBH

Kepala Ekonom Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) Paul Conway menegaskan kembali prospek kebijakan bank, catat para analis Valas BBH.

Kelemahan NZD telah membantu meningkatkan ekspor

"NZD sebagian besar tidak terpengaruh oleh komentar-komentar tersebut. Conway menyoroti bahwa proyeksi terbaru Suku Bunga Resmi (OCR) RBNZ mengindikasikan pelonggaran tambahan sebesar 75 bps selama tahun depan sambil menekankan bahwa menurunkan OCR di bawah netral (sekitar 3%) 'bukanlah proyeksi utama kami'".

"Conway menambahkan bahwa 'Dolar Kiwi yang lebih rendah adalah bagian dari alasan kami memprediksi pertumbuhan akan kembali pada tahun 2025 atau dari akhir 2024.' Faktanya, kelemahan NZD di masa lalu telah membantu meningkatkan ekspor dan mengurangi defisit perdagangan barang Selandia Baru.
